Our mother, Lois Lee, was fortunate enough to be a resident of The Majestic Rose Care Home for the last 6 months of her life. We had moved our mom from a very unsavory and unsafe group home to the amazing and loving atmosphere of the Majestic Rose. All group homes are not created equal!
First and foremost, the medical care is outstanding. Rose is on top of even the slightest change in health issues and always follows up with the proper treatment and appropriate questions to medical personnel. The meals and snacks are homemade, delicious and of the highest quality. The residents are asked for their input as to menus and mealtime is flexible for those who need it. The home itself is new, very clean and beautiful; there is a lovely park and lake within walking distance.
Every resident is made to feel valued and included in daily life at all times. Rose believes that it’s important for each individual to look their best because it affects their general outlook on life. The women are always dressed beautifully with hair styled and make-up carefully applied. Rose takes a lot of pride in ensuring that each resident receives this personal attention.
Ted and the caregivers are compassionate, patient, well-trained and concerned. They offer many different activities each day to engage the residents. There is also a great sense of respect, friendship and goodwill among the residents towards each other and my mother was very comfortable there. Family and visitors are encouraged and made to feel welcome at all times.
During the months my mother spent at The Majestic Rose she always felt well-cared for and loved just as if she was part of the family…and indeed she was. Her final days were dignified, with constant attention and without pain, which made her passing very peaceful for her as well as for our family. My only wish for my precious mother was that she could have spent more of her final years instead of only months in this incredibly warm and loving home.
